Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo is a five to six-hour drive from Sydney, Canberra and Newcastle. Take your time and stop along the way at the region’s various wineries, historic villages and attractions.  Inclusions

Free parking at the Zoo is available both at the Savannah Visitor Plaza and in parking bays throughout the Zoo circuit, for those wishing to drive their own car. Dedicated caravan and trailer parking is available inside the entry gates.  

Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo hold daily keeper talks for all of your favourite animals. And the best part? They’re included for free with your Zoo entry. 

See the Lion Pride as never before in their sprawling new home. Wander through a replica African Maasai village complete with walk through goat kraals. Learn about what it’s like to live in close proximity to a top order predator. 

Ready to go on safari? You’ll climb aboard our Savannah Safari truck and experience a unique guided tour amongst herds of African animals such as giraffes, eland and more.  

The new Wild Herds exhibit offers guests a truly immersive experience with a deer walkthrough and a beautiful outlook to the Zoo’s Takhi herd from a replica Mongolian village.
